Message Been doing some testing and we have made a few different down pipe prototypes and I am very pleased with the latest set :-)

After installing the newest set of down pipes I wanted to get to the drag strip, so Dean and I headed to Bakersfield's Famoso Raceway for a open test & tune they were having this weekend.
We went Sunday and when we arrived we found the pit area very full and loaded with high end trailers and lots of full on dragsters and funny cars.
Most of cars running seemed to be pushing the set up past the limits because lots of them were breaking and pouring oil on the strip.......
Most of the day was spent watching the track crew clean up the track after almost every run :-(
We arrived at the track at 9am and we were just about to make our first run at 1pm........Just about the time they called our class to race, The wind came up and made a HUGE dust storm and blew tumbleweeds and debris all over the track.
We were all asked to leave the staging lanes and head back to the pits.
The track officials said we had to wait it out and see if the wind dies down so the track could be cleaned up.
Well after about one hour the wind changed directions and became about a 20 MPH head wind.
The dust cleared and in that direction and it seemed to not be blowing debris on the track, so the track crew ran the sweepers and did there best to clean up the mess.
The announcement came over the loud speaker that our class was up and we were ready to run!
I jumped in the car and got my place in line as the second set of cars to run.........
The first set cars to go through were slow street cars.
I was originally going to work on my 60 foot at lower power to try to keep from getting kicked off.......
I decided that I might not get another run in for the day anyway because of the amount of cars and it being our first run with the time being after 2pm already.
Soooooo I turn the boost up to 25 PSI and run the 100 shot and go for it!
The car gets a good launch and by the time I hit half track I am giddy with excitement of how the run feels!!!!! THEN at about 3/4 track the rear end starts going for the wall and the nose starts pointing toward the other lane :-/
by the time I realize what's happening , by instinct I have already let off the gas and I am steering into the slide to try and get the car going straight again........It took about 3 times back and forth of sliding and as I crossed the finish line with no power I finally managed to get her straight ##@@@###
At that point I was just happy the car was still in one piece as well as myself!
I head to the ticket booth to find I still managed to squeak a 9 with getting off the gas at 3/4 track and sliding around!!!!!
Here is the time slip ........You can see how quick the early part is and how high the 1/8th mile MPH is and then how low my MPH is at the end of the quarter compared to the 139 MPH from the 9 second pass last month.

25 psi & 100 shot

Well after my run, 3 people in the left lane managed to hit the wall :-(
Ya think the track might have been a little slippery at the top?

Well after the third crash they stopped racing and the track crew went work on getting the track in a little better shape :-/

Finally just before 5pm they call our group again, I jump in the car and go through my check list before pulling to the staging lanes and I find the light that lets me know my N20 fuel pump is running is not on ????
I try the switch (Plastic) and find it will not move, It is melted!
I figure cheap switch, I will just bypass the switch so I can run.........
I cut the wires and find no power (S#@T)....... So the fuse is blown.......Toss another one in real quick.......Still no sound of the fuel pump running!!!!!
So I get the test light out and find the pump is getting power but not running!!!!
This SUCKS!!!!
I figure , Well I might as well make the best of it and run without the N20.
I figure since I do not have the stress of the N20 I might as well run more boost :-)
I turn the duty cycle on the boost controller up to 95% ( I have never done this, So I do not know how high it will go)
I go to the staging lanes and hear another crash just happened!!!!!
This one was pretty bad and the guy was taken away on a backboard in the ambulance........I am thinking of calling it a day at this point!
I talked with a few people in line and before you know it they opened up the track again......
So I went for it.
So here it is , My Z with no Nos with the boost controller reading a peak of 28.3 PSI
Not the greatest launch because I am used to leaving with the N20, But still fun and a clean pass.

28.3 PSI peak NO N20
